NanoInsights in Chinese Society for Cell Biology (中国细胞生物学学会 2026)
Our Principal NanoInsights participated in the 2026 National Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (中国细胞生物学学会2026年全国学术大会) and announcing the joined-force with Pellucid Optics and their new product – SuperSpin and PanoSpin Label-free imaging system
Abberior in Chinese Society for Cell Biology (中国细胞生物学学会 2026)
Our Principal Abberior Instruments GmbH participated in the 2026 National Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (中国细胞生物学学会2026年全国学术大会).
PTC is the Official Distributor of Pellucid Optics (澄觀光學)
PTC is now the Official Distributor of Pellucid Optics (澄觀光學科技有限公司) in Hong Kong and Macau.
The latest Label-free 3D Volumetric Imaging System: SH-HoloSpect was first displayed in the 2026 National Academic Conference of the Chinese Society for Cell Biology (中国细胞生物学学会2026年全国学术大会).
Pellucid Optics is specialized in Label-Free-Superrsolution Imaging Technology. Their unique Phase Gradient Tomography (PGT) allows layer scanning, up to 140nm lateral and 350nm axial resolution, to render a 3D Volumetric Image.
SH-HoloSpect
- Label-free subcellular imaging
Without the need for complex labeling or staining procedures, subcellular structures such as granules, nuclei, and lipid droplets can be accurately identified based on intrinsic differences in refractive index. - Advanced PGT imaging capabilities
The new generation of PGT technology supports both 2D and 3D sample imaging. It is compatible with multiple imaging modes, including wide-field fluorescence, spinning-disk confocal multi-module imaging, and high-throughput imaging workflows. - Comprehensive data analysis software
The included software enables automated collection and analysis of key biophysical parameters, including refractive index, dry mass, velocity, and cellular morphology.
New product now available – Gill launches heat stress measurement solution
We are delighted to announce the launch of MaxiMet GMX552, the first compact weather station to integrate a black globe sensor for heat stress monitoring, providing highly accurate data in real-time.
Extreme heat events are becoming more frequent, longer lasting, and more intense. The World Meteorological Organization notes that extreme heatwaves in 2003 and 2010 were responsible for 80% of weather-related deaths in Europe between 1970 and 2019, while its State of the Climate in Asia 2024 confirms that the region is experiencing a warming trend almost double the global average.
As a result, businesses and governments are increasingly taking steps to protect their citizens and workforce through legislation and Health & Safety programmes that require reliable heat stress condition measurements.
MaxiMet GMX552 is a heat stress solution that collects environmental and meteorological measurements for demanding applications. Developed and built in accordance with ISO 7243-2017, it measures black globe temperature, wind speed & direction, temperature, humidity, pressure and multiple parameters in addition to WBGT. Our compact weather stations deliver accurate, reliable data, are quick to set up, and work seamlessly in any environment. With a robust, low-maintenance design and the option to run on battery or solar power, they are built to perform wherever you need them.
What is WBGT? How is it calculated and how is it different from Heat Index?
- Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is a heat stress measure designed to mimic how the body feels when subjected to extreme conditions.
- Includes a measure of radiant heat from the sun.
- Accounts for air movement and cooling through
evaporation.
- WBGT is much more suitable than “Heat Index’ which only accounts for temperature and humidity in the shade (only uses ambient temperature beneath solar shields).

New product launch – Gill launches new optical rain gauge
We are delighted to announce the launch of TruMet PW100, our first infrared Optical Rain Gauge.
For decades, rainfall measurement has relied on mechanical tipping bucket gauges. While trusted, these systems are prone to clogging, mechanical drift (requiring frequent calibration for reliable data), and under-counting during high-intensity rainfall, leading to maintenance demands and data uncertainty when accuracy matters most.
TruMet PW100 is a solid-state, optical rainfall sensor.
A modern optical rain gauge built for accuracy and uptime
TruMet PW100 is a solid-state, optical rainfall sensor designed to replace the limitations of tipping buckets with a high-precision, low-maintenance alternative.
- Zero moving parts – No mechanical wear, no drift
- No clogging – no funnels, no collection chambers
- Accurate across the full rainfall spectrum – From drizzle to high-intensity events
- True maintenance savings – Operational cost reduction across regional networks
- Rapid deployment – Lightweight, compact, easy to install
- Consistent long-term performance – Designed for long life reliability
- Lower lifetime cost vs tipping buckets – Fewer callouts, fewer replacements
